God’s Touch: Exploring Reiki Healing

Description: This workshop builds a bridge between the practice of Reiki and the healing ministries of the church. Participants will explore the healing ministry resources of Jesus’ ministry for persons today, make connections between Reiki healing and the church’s pastoral ministry, and learn level one Reiki healing touch. Description: A three-day workshop for clergy led by Kate and Bruce Epperly.

We believe that pastors in this swiftly moving post-modern age are called to be personally, professionally “fired up”—spiritually and theologically “aglow”—with creativity and power. We have found that when we take time to feed the fires of personal and professional vitality through life transforming spiritual practices combined with theological and liturgical innovation, our ministries can be transformed. Through these transformed and transforming ministries, we can powerfully respond to God’s call to be partners in healing our world.

Workshop participants will discover personal and professional renewal and transformation through sharing new and imaginative visions of God’s call for our time and experiencing a variety of holistic practices of spiritual contemplation and theological affirmation, as well as personal and global healing rituals involving the integration of body, mind and spirit.
